Episode 9: Bob Kendrick

Bob Kendrick listened and learned from the great Buck O’Neil, and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum never missed a beat. Bob fondly recalls his rise from a Park University basketball player from Crawfordsville, Georgia, to the Kansas City Star where he fell in love with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. From his days as a volunteer at the museum to his current role as president, Bob is helping to make the NLBM a must stop on any trip to Kansas City.

Like Frank, Bob was “dragged kicking and screaming” to host his own podcast, Black Diamonds: Untold Stories of the Negro Leagues. The podcast was named National Sports Podcast of the Year.
